OSU Pan Love in London!

Soooo if any of you were wondering, YES, I did finish my sexualities paper!! And with 8 words over the minimum.  Thank the high heavens I'm done with it!! And I just recieved some good news in my email that my sexualities class is cancelled tomorrow! Yippee!! I do need to be productive tomorrow though..boo!

Recently I've been missing my Pokes all the way back in Orange Country.  And it really doesn't help that Knee Deep by the Zac Brown Band just came on my Pandora..

Anyways, I've been missing my beautiful campus during the spring time with the green trees, Greek Walk, Library Lawn, frizbees and Edmon Low.  My favorite thing to do on the first nice day of spring was grab Taylor, jam with the windows down and drive to grab an Arnold Palmer and toasted sandwich and take a few frat laps until we have to go back to reality.  I miss that so much.

I've got the prettiest campus in the world!!
But this past weekend I had a nice little helping of some OSU Greek life stay with me! :)  My favorite Kappa Delta, PASTOR, visited for 5 days from Austria!  It was a nice break from everything, and for her too.  Once she got here we hit the ground running..I mean walking..  We serisouly walked EVERYWHERE, but I totally loved it.  I'm getting sick of the tube and I was kind of frustrated that I wasn't able to get around London without the Tube.  Instert Madison Pastor.  First, we walked to Buckingham Palace.  We were sad that all the Queen's gaurds weren't out!  But Pastor had a nice staring contest with some of the police standing behind the open gate, soooo that was nice and awkward. For them.  Then we waved by and he waved back! After that we walked to the British Museum.  It was really cool!  We went to the Egypt exhibit and saw mummies!  Then we went to the Roman/ Greek area and saw some cool statues.  Our favorite part was the clock and watch room though, duh!!

The Rosetta Stone

Greek/Roman something or other.

oohhh Mummies!!

sparkly Olympic gold medals!
The next day we hit up King's Cross and the British Library!  At King's Cross we obvi went to the Harry Potter Cart!  Hogwarts was pretty cool, but Draco was kinda mean to me, so we came back to London.  So during my GIS week for my art and society class we have to go somewhere of culture so Pastor and I went to the British Library!  It was cool seeing some more of Shakespeare's things, some of Jane Austen's things, and other cool old stuff from authors.  My favorite thing was the Beatles window with 4 things of original handwritten lyrics!

Stupid sun.

Going to Hogwarts. brb.
After the Harry Potter and Beatle fun (the two basic reasons why I came to London) we walked to Hyde Park!  It was so pretty and HUGE!  We walked across almost the whole thing to get to the Peter Pan statue!  We even saw some guy feeding squirrels with his hands and a guy with fire coming out of his tuba thing!  It was an interesting walk!  After that I REEEAAALLY wanted some crab rangoon so we walked to Leciester Sqaure to the mini China Town place.  We sat down at the cheapest place to eat but they did have any crab rangoon!  Or have even heard of it! I was so sad :(

I feel like this should be in a Dr. Suess book or something

so weird. but so cool.

you can fly, you can fly, you can fly, you can fly!
So that was basically the extent of our fun weekend!  Each night we went to a fun pub or a club too!  We had our first martinis!! Yummyyy!  We sadly said goodbye today (with a little too much hastle) haha.  We had a few printer problems and ticket rearranging last minute which made her miss her first bus and pay 60 pounds at the airport....but other than that, I'd say the weekend ran very smoothly! I loved having her here and it made me not miss all my friends back home too much anymore-at least for now.  To all my friends reading this, please come visit! :) I have a queen sized nook in my living room with your name on it! :)

So after the ticket fiasco today, I walked home (thanks pastor for turning me into a walking maniac) and watched my 3rd Harry Potter movie of the weekend.  Then I was tired so I took a nap.  And now, I just finished baking some delish cookies!  They're chocolate with peppermint icing and crushed peppermints sprinkled on top!! It's Christmas in March here at 48 Tufton!

To all of my readers: Thanks so much for reading my blog, it makes me happy!  I hope you guys are enjoying reading it as much as I am living it! I miss y'all so much!! :)

Cheers!
