But apart from the school work, I've had a great past couple of days!
On Wednesday Caity and I took a tour at the BBC with the ISA group! It was reaaaally cool! Only it'd probs be cooler if I actually watched the BBC, but whatevs.
We got a tour of some of the bigger parts of it, when into some stars dressing rooms and learned how the green/blue screen works! Well, we all already knew how it worked, but our tour guide was showing us how they made the invisibility cloack on Harry Potter. It was extremely simple. They just stood behind a green/blue screen, and got a blanket that's green/blue and draped it over them. So on the screen, someone in our group had a floating head, it was funny.
We saw people walking around that looked important with dazzling white smiles and ear pieces in.
Near the end of the tour we went in a room with costumes and masks and stuff. Caity and I volunteered being news anchors! Lol I love being a pretend news anchor. Actually, last time I did it, I was a weather person, and Taylor was a news anchor at the NBC studios in NYC. So after Caity and I read the news, we got free BBC pens for volunteering! Woohoo!
Walking to the tube station! I feel like I don't get enough pictures of Big Ben. |

So then on Thursday in our art and society class, we went to a gallery, It started with a C, but I can't remember the name. We saw paintings by Ben Nicholson and Piet Mondrian. They were modern art peices, and I'm sure everyone had seen a poster or something of theirs in a art history book at some time or another. Mondrian's work is the white background with black horizontal and vertical lines with squares of yellow, blue and red. I used to love looking at his work when I was in like middle school so it was fun to see the real things!
Then after that we walked around the rest of the gallery and I saw some pieces painted my Van Gough (pronounced Van Goff here) and Picasso! Totally legit.

On Friday morning, Caity's friend, Holly, landed in London. So they were chillin all day and I was at the flat, probs doing homework or something. On Saturday morning they left to go to Liverpool, so I was chillin by myself all weekend, which wasnt bad! The weather was beautiful on Saturday, so I decided to grab my books and walk to Green Park and read for a while. I was sitting in the park, looking at Buckingham Palace, reading my book on a beautiful day in London. It was amazing. Near the early evening it started to get colder so I decided to leave and walk to Sainsbury's to grab some supplies to make cake balls! I got lost for about an hour though. Well not really lost, but I took the long was to Sainsbury's and ended up not where I thought.. So I finally found it.
I made some yummy cake balls, then I went out with my friend Meg! We went to an All Bar One at Trafalgar square and split a pitcher of sangira! yumm! Then we went to another pub in Traf. Sqaure and met some guys from Latvia who burned my hand on a flaming shot :( They ended up giving us some cheesecake afterwards, so it was worth it haha.
Yesterday, on Sunday, I serisouly spent about 4 or 5 hours reading another book I got. It's Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks and it's soo good! All of you, go buy it now. Caity and Holly came back home at around midnight so we were just talking and stuff and finally went to bed.
Then this morning me and Caity were walking to class and all of Westminster Abbey was blocked off! We asked a policeman what was going on and he said that today is Commonwealth Day (idk) and that the Queen was going to show up at 3 pm! So we went to class and came back around 2:30 to wait for her arrival at Westminster Abbey! Prince Philip and Camilla showed up in the first Bentley, then the 2 cousins, Beatirce and Eugine showed up (yes, one of them was wearing a funny hat) in the second Bentley, then a few mintues later the Queen showed up! She waved from her window in her adorable little pink suit and hat!! She got out of the car and waved a tad and walked into the Abbey. So yeah, we saw the Queen today.
I haven't uploaded the pics yet, but I'll post them on here once I do! Actually, I didn't get that great of pictures, so I'm gonna wait for Holly to upload her pics of the Queen and then just steal them and put them up here.
Now I'm just sitting here, procrastinating working on my stupid marketing project. Which me luck.
Cheers!
